About The National Comprehensive Cancer Network
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), an alliance of 19 of the world's leading cancer centers, is an authoritative source of information to help patients and health professionals make informed decisions about cancer care. Through the collective expertise of its member institutions, the NCCN develops, updates, and disseminates a complete library of clinical practice guidelines. These guidelines are the standard for clinical policy in oncology. NCCN is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation.
Development of the guidelines is supported by NCCN Member Institution dues. No industry support is accepted for any costs associated with the development of the guidelines. NCCN does receive support from industry for distribution of the Complete Library of NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology™ on CD-ROM.
NCCN/ACS Treatment Guidelines for Patients
The NCCN and the American Cancer Society have partnered to translate the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology into a patient-friendly resource outlining appropriate treatment. These guidelines offer cancer patients and their families reliable information to help them work with their physicians to make timely and well-informed decisions about their care.
